Are you sure it's really Friday? At the moment it feels like it should be Monday. Why is it that things always seem to break down on Friday afternoon, shortly before you're supposed to leave? I'm trying to print out a set of maps on the nice big plotter, and what happens? It breaks down. This stuff can't wait until Monday, so I'm going to have to print it out on the small plotter. No big deal right? Wrong because when I try to print to the small plotter, Corel freezes up.

Yep, technology hates me. Now I'm going to have to stay late, on a FRIDAY, in order to get this stuff done. How did that girl put that? Oh yes, "Carma kickback". I wonder what I did wrong.

Birthday Countdown: 1 day (I just need to get through the rest of today!)

Hmm.... maybe I should rename this blog "Rants and Other Thoughts"

I wish you could smell what I smell right now. No, wait, I take that back, I wouldn't wish this smell on anyone. They are doing renovations to a bunch of the offices up here, and right now one of them is getting their rubber baseboards glued down. The absolutely wonderful smell (are you sensing my sarcasm? Good.) going around the floor right now is that of the industrial glue they are using. The smell is so strong, it's making me not think straight. Well, it's either the glue or the fact that it's after 4 pm on a Thursday ;-) Whatever it is, this is the third time I've rewritten this entry, and I'm still not sure I'm saying what I really want to say, the way I really want to say it. I'm going to stop writing now, before I stop making any sense, or is it already too late?

Did you ever see that Garfield cartoon where he's hanging on the screen door saying "I'm bored. I'm bored. I'm bored, bored, bored..." and then the door opens, he slams into the wall and says "I'm in pain. I'm in pain. I'm in pain, pain, pain..."? Well, that's how I feel right now, minus the slamming into the wall part. I am very bored at the moment, which is a very bad thing considering that I'm at work, and there is stuff that I could be working on, I just don't feel like working on it.

Eh, oh well, I guess I should try to get back to work. It is almost the end of the day after all.

I think I've pretty much decided to get a new computer. Seeing as the one I have is around 5 years old, it wasn't that hard of a decision. It would be very nice to be able to play the newer games I've bought on my own computer instead of having to install them on my mom's boyfriend's computer. It shouldn't be that expensive, considering that all I'd be getting is the tower. Of course, that would depend on what I got put on it.

On another note, Spring is finally in the air in Sudbury. It got up to 8 Celsius today, and it's supposed to be around that temperature for the remainder of the week. Another good sign that it's spring is that the geese are starting to return to their usual haunts, like the soccer field at Lily Creek.

Ah, the joys of having a computer. I went shopping the other day and bought myself a new printer. The one I had was a lousy Lexmark, I hated it, I haven't used it in like, forever, because of how much I dislike it. For those of you with Lexmarks who wouldn't trade them for anything, kudos. Anyway, so I went out and bought an HP All-In-One, one of those printer/scanner/copier things. Apparently, my computer is too old and slow to be able to use the darn thing. I've tried installing it three times now. If it doesn't work the next time I try, it's going back to the store. Either that, or the printer is staying and I'm shopping for a better computer. (FYI: I don't even have the internet on my computer, I'm at my mom's boyfriend's place at the moment.)

Well, there's my daily rant. (Maybe that's what I should call this blog.) Oh well. On a brighter note, I find it hard to believe that it's my birthday next weekend. Where does the time go? Don't bother asking me what I want, because I haven't the slightest idea.

Cheers!

Well, it's Friday, March 24, and this is my first ever blog posting. I think "Ramblings" is a very good name for this blog, because that's what I tend to do.

Today also marks the end of my first week at my new job. I'm trying to refrain from saying that I like where I worked before better, at least until I've been at my new job for a while, to give myself a chance to get used to the change. I think I'm going to like it at this place though, the job I'm doing is actually in my field. That's very rare these days, especially here in Sudbury.
